New single Séléné by Faites leur la Danse & La Namoura is a melodic electro pop single recorded live on the «Plongeoir» in Nice by the Franco-Lebanese duo Faites leur la danse & La Namoura. Séléné is a fable telling the relationship that a faithful has with the goddess he cherishes every night, once night falls.
We have had the pleasure of interviewing Faites leur la danse, and this has been the result.
Can you tell us a little about your experience? Where are you from / how did you get into music? Was it all internet based
La Namoura is from Lebanon, fell in love with music very young, learning piano, and playing in concerts and operas when she moved in France.
When they met Faites leur la danse was a techno dj, but the mix if their inspiration made them get into an electro pop vibe.
Who have been your main inspirations (both musical and in «life»)? And how have they affected your sound?
La Namoura is inspired by some classical well known artists and lebanese singer FAiruz. Faites leur la danse listened a lot to techno producers like Vitalic, Popof, Dafresh.
We both like to walk in forest to listen to bird sounds, what give us a lot of strength and inspiration before producing.
What can you tell us about your last job? What inspired you? What do you want to convey?
Séléné was recorded in Nice in a very famous place above the sea. The song was made during the lockdown, many days in our studio without going out.
How are you living the current situation because of COVID? Has your work affected you a lot? Do you think there is hope?
I feel like the underground scene will continue to persist.
It was a great period for producers as we could concentrate on our work. Only studio time without any tentations of going out. Now everything is open again and we can play in partys and show the world the result of our work.
What projects are you working on right now?
New songs, in the same universe, our aim is to prepare an album
