GLORIA returns, the Budapest-based songwriter, producer and vocalist who boldly experiments with electronic sound and musical clichés. Interested in the perception of music and the felt experience, all her tracks sound marked, recognizable and innovative. GLORIA considers her music metamodern, constantly oscillating between vulnerability and irony.
«LVS», his latest GLORIA release, offers the listener a fascinating journey through the universe of electronic genres. All the tracks on her new release GLORIA were written by herself and Mark Moldvai helped her with sound engineering. Mark is also a founding member of the Hungarian band Neo.
GLORIA’s «LVS» EP will be released on the Ukrainian Masterskaya label on April 27th. It is an independent label based in kyiv founded by Ivan Dorn, a famous artist in Eastern Europe. At the moment, the tag team has left Ukraine due to the war and continues to work in Europe.
This work demonstrates the particular way in which the production company understands sound, located at the opposite end of the commercial, the generic, what works: what it does is, on the contrary, a kind of unstable magma of pulsations and radiances, with melodic lines. . . . and blurred textures, pursuing a serene, spiritual, almost ascetic expression. All those languages and influences from which it has been nurtured dialogue in this EP, creating new different and highly evolved sound organisms.
«LVS» is a rarity that connects this production company with new sounds, but without losing its festive essence, where the differences between musical styles and eras mix and harmonize with tremendous lightness. GLORIA has shown us once again, because in turbulent times, good music is not only made of electronic darkness.
In the end, GLORIA ends up creating an EP where there is a very careful balance between the ambition of her intentions and the greatness of her results, managing to go further, not an easy task. But the level is high, and this producer can be proud to have signed and reaffirmed his entry into the history of electronic music.
