Hi Andrea, Manu, and Federico, how are you?
MANU: Everything is fine, and you?
FEDERICO: Hello, everything is fine, thank you.
ANDREA: Hello, everything is fine, thank you, and you?
All good! ‘Penni Beleh’ is out now, can you walk us through your creative process when producing this track? Where did you start, and how did you build the different elements together?
MANU: Andrea and I started the track. During the creative process, we always discuss with our collaborators, and Fede listened to the song and told us he liked it. At that point, we finished it all together.
FEDERICO: Andrea and Manu sent me the track for feedback, and I immediately liked it. So, I asked them if they wanted to do a collab with all three of us. I went to the studio and immediately started working, creating a new bassline, changing the trumpet part, and making other small changes following my style. That’s how ‘Penni Beleh’ came about; it’s always nice to put multiple ideas together with friends and collaborators.
ANDREA: Manu and I were in my studio, and we started creating some trumpet parts and then added the groove and vocals. At that point, Fede heard it for an opinion, he liked it, and we decided to have him finish it. And what you hear is the result 🙂
How did the collaboration between you come about?
MANU: We are all three good friends for a long time, and we really like discussing songs and ideas. So, we listened to the song together and this collaboration was born.
FEDERICO: We have known each other for a long time and love to discuss. From simple feedback, a new collaboration was born.
ANDREA: Manu and I often produce records together, and since Fede has been a friend for a long time, we decided to collaborate with him on this project.
Were there any challenges or obstacles you faced during the production of this track? How did you overcome them?
MANU: Everything was quite linear. The longest part of the process was the mix and master because we wanted something excellent.
FEDERICO: Well, no… it was pretty easy to put our ideas together. The most critical point was the mixing part because we wanted a high-quality product.
ANDREA: Honestly, no, we worked very well and quickly. The most critical part was during mixing and mastering, but in the end, we are satisfied with the work.
How did you choose the specific sound elements that you used in this track, such as the drums, synths, and samples? What inspired those choices?
MANU: We wanted to create something recognizable, and we are trying to create our own style that makes us recognizable to the listeners.
FEDERICO: We simply put together our different styles, trying to follow the sounds that are popular now.
ANDREA: We worked by putting our sounds in the track, giving it our signature, so people would recognize it was produced by us.
What was your favorite part of producing this track? Was there a particular sound or element that you’re especially proud of?
MANU: Maybe my favorite part is the vocal.
FEDERICO: Vocals and bassline are my favorites.
ANDREA: I really like the vocals and groove.
How do you feel ‘Penni Beleh’ differs from your previous works?
MANU: As I mentioned before, we’re trying to create a new genre that makes us recognizable.
FEDERICO: Compared to my usual works, I’d say this time I’ve shifted more towards House music. It’s always nice to challenge ourselves.
ANDREA: In my opinion, it’s in line with my latest productions. In recent years, I’ve been producing a lot of «House» music, and I include this track in that genre.
How did you decide on the track’s arrangement and structure? Did you experiment with different variations before settling on the final version?
MANU: Everything was very fast and straightforward. We worked as we always do, with the same flow.
FEDERICO: We followed a classic House music-style arrangement.
ANDREA: Honestly, at least for me, I worked without obstacles and very fluidly, using an arrangement method I often employ. So, I was very much in my comfort zone.
What message or emotion are you hoping to convey to your audience with your latest release?
MANU: I’d say fun and a desire to be together during a party.
FEDERICO: I always try to convey energy and a desire to celebrate.
ANDREA: Trying to convey something to the listener, and maybe leave a mark, with a lot of energy.
Lastly, what can fans expect from you in terms of future releases or collaborations? Any exciting projects in the works that you can tease?
MANU: There will certainly be more collaborations with Federico and Andrea. We will release music on The Cage Music for sure and other top labels.
FEDERICO: There will definitely be more collaborations among us; we’re always working on new music, so all you have to do is stay connected. There will be lots of new releases.
ANDREA: There will be more collaborations, and I can say they are already in development. Soon, there will be a release on The Cage with Federico remixing one of my tracks and Manu’s, as well as other exciting news.
