A favorite of The Goudies’ live show, Two was originally released on Beth’s 2019 solo album. It’s a moving reflection of the simple beauty of building a life as a married couple: two independent people doing something still. better together.
The song was recorded live at an award winning local business and ‘little’ independent deli – The East Street Deli, Wimborne. The setting was chosen as a tribute to Sam and Beth’s weekly visits to the store during the UK lockdown and the Tiny Show Tuesday live broadcasts that formed The Goudies while living in the city.
The release has been featured on BBC Wales’ Welsh A-list and is accompanied by a series of videos filmed alongside the deli recording, including Tiny Show favorite ‘A Town Called Bel Air’, The Goudies ‘Will It Country?’ version of the theme Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
The idea that drives this album refers us to one of the crucial attributes of music, and it is its inexhaustible capacity to generate moods that protect us at all times. Its meaning remains in the hands of lovers of electronic music, beyond the dance floor and all hedonism.
The Goudies can and should be heard as a piece of timeless music that transmits a positive idea in times of conflict, and its aesthetic appeals to the most basic, deep and receptive of the spirit. The Goudies, in short, designs a wide and fragile sound to listen and feel from the depths.
