There are artists who, in order to go beyond their sound, have to get rid of their original name and create another, but then there are others who, in order to go further, have to rediscover themselves, to create a sound whose starting point is not born so much from the attempt to cross borders and to recover them. This is the case of producer Austher, who has recently released «Resilience» on his label
Mélopée.
The Toulouse scene is really flourishing. Austher is an exemplary case, another artist with undeniable talent and also one of the bosses of the excellent French label Ulla Records.
Austher manages to create unique and cinematographic landscapes, full of character and good judgment. But this proposal is also a lesson, a way of understanding not only music, but culture, beyond the precarious status that currently governs, as something expendable, as if music, books or art did not save us. Forget about this magmatic present for a moment, close your eyes and let yourself be carried away by each one of the notes that this singular producer proposes, because within ‘Resilience’ he is safe and it seems that everything is starting over.
