After his 7.2mil+ streamed collab with POLIÇA, recent BBC Intro ‘Track of the Week’ accolade and his new remix of Sultan + Shepard ‘Elenore’, Manchester’s Sonnee announces upcoming EP ‘Chalk’ via the upbeat single ‘Fever’, out now.
‘Fever’: Sonnee’s signature blend of upbeat and heartfelt delivers a track for ecstatic dancefloor moments and soulful listening alike, with breathy plaintive pitch-shifted vocals riding a bounding house beat with thrumming Moroder-style synth vibes.
His recent cut ‘Driver’s Seat’ (big DSP support inc. cover star for Amazon Music’s Signals playlist) will also feature on the EP.
With typical honesty, Sonnee’s second EP ‘Chalk’ explores raw emotions and intense relationships, with lyrical themes combining melancholy and optimism, contemplation and dance energy. Not so much ‘emerging’ now as rising fast, the London-based producer wins both fans and the support of mainstream/specialist tastemakers.
