Raver’s Diary returns to Kepler Live Records for its 16th release and first this year. Not only his album, it is more about interpretations, perspectives of different artists culminating in a nickname «Adivinha o Que É» – «Guess what it is».
And it is about guessing, it is about interpretations and visions, a journey to a landscape outside the box.
We have had the pleasure of chatting with its creators, and this has been the result.
Hello ! Where can we find you now? How did you start your day?
Hi, i am Jorge Correia, Raver’s Diary, from Lisbon, Portugal. I started my day working and finish it producing techno. Not so bad.
When did the idea of starting a project start to take shape? Has it always been something you wanted to do?
in 2017, when me and a friend started Escuro Collective roughing underground events in Lisbon. First one was in a ex- strip club.
How would you define the sound of your latest work? What is the concept behind?
Fast Paced Groovy Tool Techno. This work is Adivinha O Que É or in English «Guess What It Is» is about my struggles into fit into music boxes, like Dub, Industrial, Hypnotic, etc. I feel that my music is what I want to express, and not this or that box.
What artists are you interested in these days?
i am always searching for artists as I have my own label as well, called Kepler Live Records, so I am always finding people with talent and skills.
How do you manage to combine such disparate genres? How do you manage to give them unity and harmony? What do they have in common for you?
For me it always has been hard to fit in a box, I always looked into music as a form of expression of my real life situations, even though Techno can be seen as an abstract genre.
