Gracing the airwaves with his serene soundscapes, melodic producer Heard Right’s originals and remixes have been released on a variety of revered imprints, including Purified, Rose Avenue and Colorize to name a few. Combining melodic and floating sounds with progressive house sensibilities, his previous releases on Purified Records include collaborations with Furcloud (Rise EP), OAI (On The Edge EP, Time Of Knowledge EP and Hope), Anriu (Be Myself EP) and Fløa (Insight EP). Marking his most in-depth offering to date, Heard Right’s forthcoming solo album, ‘Dreams’ will take listeners on a sonic journey across 12 different tracks, featuring an array of vocalists from around the world. We spoke to the talented producer ahead of the first single, ‘Pulling Me Under’ Ft. Phoebe Tsen.
1. Hi there! Where can we find you right now? How did you start your day?
I’m currently located in Belarus and live in a small town called Grodno. I started my day great as the first single from my forthcoming debut album came out today and I’m so excited about it!
2. How did you start your musical project Heard Right? Has it always been something you wanted to do?
When I started out as a Heard Right, I planned to write completely different music, but rather quickly my tastes changed and since then I have been devoted to melodic and progressive music.
3. How would you define the sound of your latest work? What is the concept behind?
I think this sound is a beautiful little journey that makes you feel certain emotions. The concept of this work is to show the listener that I can write beautiful and interesting music. And that I absolutely love doing it.
4. What artists are you interested in these days?
At the moment, I’m interested in artists who make light and beautiful music. Such artists as EMBRZ, Massane, Rezident, Klur.
5. What inspires you while making music?
Listening to the works of other artists, thanks to them I get charged for work and feel inspired and eager to open the DAW and do something interesting.
6. How would you define your sound?
It is a balance between melodic and dance elements.
7. How did your upbringing play into your musical career?
I think I went against everything I was brought up to do musically!
