Making an emphatic return to the release front, multi-talented New York native Jack Marzilla releases an addictive new single, ‘Booski’.
Opening with shimmering synths and smooth vocals, Jack Marzilla draws the listener into a hypnotic soundscape of trap-infused beats and seductive instrumentation. Building a steady beat, this track is an ode to security in relationships and exudes an air of mystery and romantic nostalgia through his confused and soulful voice. Showcasing his creative flair through a self-shot and directed music video, Jack Marzilla presents the perfect visual accompaniment to ‘Booski’, which is also available now.
Scoring over 2 million streams, receiving Hot97 Radio Play, and appearing on numerous top rated blogs, Jack Marzilla is back and better than ever. Formerly known as MistrAdams, Marzilla is no stranger to the music industry. Starting out as a rapper, he earned A&R recognition on Def Jam Records, sparking an invaluable connection that led him to produce for some of the biggest names in hip hop, including 50 Cent, AceHood, G-Unit, Zoey Dollaz, King Los and many more. Combining his passion for camera and music, he designed, shot, directed and edited his video for ‘Booski’ at his apartment in New York, marking his debut video project. With many tracks almost ready to be released, 2022 marks a new chapter in the career of this burgeoning producer.
We have had the pleasure of speaking with him and this has been the result.
Hi there Jack Marzilla! Where are you based right now? How did you start your day?
The pleasure is mine, I’m currently residing in New York, Just an hour north of New York City. I always start my days with 15min meditations, gives me clarity.
When did the idea of starting your project start to take shape? Has it always been something you wanted to do?
I dropped a tape a few years ago entitled “Over You”. It had songs on there like “Low Key Trill” and “Ocean Motion”. After that I took a long break from making music. I had to find myself on deeper level. Took me 6 years, finally came to a point of feeling the need to create. Here we begin..
How would you define the sound of your latest work? What is the concept behind?
Late night mood supply is Booski. Dreamy, hypnotic waves to get lost in. This record is all about relationship security, with an essence of fantasy and desire for your partner. We’re bombarded with music that promotes cheating, lying etc. I’m making Girlfriend/wife music, just because you’re in a relationship does not mean the mystery of desire and intimacy must be dull. Sexuality with maturity.
Catch your vibes with your woman, and if you’re single, play my music for that late night mood supply. What artists are you interested in these days?
Honestly, I don’t really listen to that much music. I feel like when I listen to other artists, unconsciously it influences my own music. I want 100% Marzilla.
Who would you like to collaborate with in the future?
BEAM, his tone is fire. Such a vibe. Would love to collab.
How would you define your sound?
Two words = Mood Supply. I want people to feel what I’m feeling when I’m creating
these records. Music to get lost in. Late night nostalgia.Who has been the most amazing artist you have worked with in your career so far?
I had the chance to work with Timbaland years ago, great experience. His energy is contagious.
