When their new LP hit our inbox we were quick to know we needed to have a chat with “Live on Acid”, their record is both visually and musically stunning, read on to find out what makes them tick.
Hi there! Where can we find you right now? How did you start your day?
Hi! Thanks for speaking to me! I’m at home in South Manchester, started the day with a coffee and several interviews to talk about our upcoming album!!
What releases do you have upcoming?
Our album ‘Preaching to the Perverted’ is due out 3rd March 2022 on Hello World Records. It’s an electronic meander through broken beat electronica, to more housey and disco-tinged dance tracks. We recommend the continuous mix version of it where you can lose yourself in it for an hour or so!
Are there any dream artists or labels you would love to work with?
For what they’ve done for the scene over recent years, both musically and via their blog (as well as for their incredible studio) we’d love to collaborate with or work with Bicep! But who wouldn’t nowadays!
Can you clue us into any up and coming artists we might not be aware of?
Check out Gallegos and Mr. Big Mouth – their both out of Bristol and doing great stuff. Also, big props to The Running Man and Roughion out of Cardiff and finally our label-mate Kostas G – doing amazing things in the electro/breaks scene at the moment!
How do you see the music scene in this the moment? As the world just starts to spin again.
It’s looking so positive – we both went to see Elkka on tour the other day in Manchester, we’ve got tickets to I ♥Acid in Manchester in May and I can’t wait to get to Moovin’ festival in Stockport – the line-up has just been released and looks incredible!
Hopefully we’ll be adding our name to some line-ups in the near future!
Can you tell us about your plans for the future?
Currently it’s promoting the album and working on some new music including some remixes, and we have a new EP finished so looking forward to people hearing that! Then hopefully playing some live and DJ gigs over spring/summer and beyond!
