Who Music Magazine’s Q/A today is with VOLB3X! An interesting look into what makes him tick and what he is working on!

Hi there ! Where can we find you right now? How did you start your day?

Helloo, Who Music Team! I’m at my studio right now in Istanbul. My daily routine is always the same. I eat, sleep and make music. You can always find me on my computer. Haha!

When did the idea for your new record take shape?

It may be a bit tragicomic, but three years ago, when I was working at the gas station while I was filling up the car, that vocal chop of Dark Light started playing in my mind, and at the end of the shift I wanted to go home and start working right away.

How would you define the sound of your latest work? What is the concept behind it?

I release a lot of music frequently, haha. If we are talking about the Dark Light. I can say that it is motivational music for most people and I’m very proud of it. It has a dark vocal vibe and motivational drop melodies. Driving at night with that sound must be experienced!

Who is inspiring you most right now?

For me, life itself is an inspiration. I am not inspired by anyone. My inspiration is my own mind. My emotions inspire my music.

Where would you say your sound sits, firmly in one genre or a mixture?

I can say that my style is gangster house. Not a popular one like Slap House, but a more aggressive and underground style. I focus on one genre mostly.

How do you see the music scene at the moment?

The music scene is ruled by social media and playlists these days. If you or your music is not popular on social media or you don’t get good playlisting with your releases, it’s really hard to be recognized. It has a lot of advantages and disadvantages.

Tell us something about your current or future projects?

There are some cover and original songs we are planning to release this summer, and we continue to work on them with SSL Music. In addition, we made a cover track for Get Busy by Sean Paul and signed it with Lithuania HQ. Lastly, I will release 2 new official remixes at the end of this summer. We may release another album at the end of this year. Very exciting days are waiting for me!
