Ultra Records is breathing new life into their Ultra Dance compilation series with a new mix series! Launching this Friday, June 2, with a new mix from Ultra Records president David Waxman, Ultra is unveiling its U R DJ Mix Series, which is set to carry on the tradition, reimagined for the modern era of streaming.
For over 20 years, the Ultra Dance compilation series brought the energy of the dancefloor to homes around the globe. Starting in 2002 millions of physical albums were sold across the first 20 compilations released since, beginning with Ultra Dance 1 (which sold 150,000 copies). It was truly integral to the culture and inspired countless DJs and artists to pursue their passion.
Kicking off with U R House, the mix features tracks released by Ultra in 2022 & 2023, including Sofi Tukker, Idris Elba, Anabel Englund, Solardo, DVBBS, Icona Pop, and more.
David Waxman took over as the Ultra President in January 2022, coinciding with the label moving from independent to a major as a part of Sony Records. Since becoming President, Waxman has signed a number of marquee artists including Cash Cash, Austin Millz, and J. Worra.
